Re: bugs in Photo Editor 1.1

There is one big bug I've found in the current pho to editor.  Randomly, when I save an edited photo, it will save with 1 x1 dimensions instead of correctly saving the pic.  It does this often enough that I back up all pics I'm editing because I never know when it will save it as the 1 x 1.

I did email a bug report earlier, with the bug image attached.  I should mention that the picture which was being saved was a pic originally 1145 x 1280 pixels, that I was reducing in size by 50 percent, then I saved it and the 1 x 1 bug resulted.  In retrospect, I probably should have sent a copy of the original photo that I was reducing but from the info here about its dimensions and percentage I was reducing it, you can see that even when reduced, the photo was much larger than the 1 x 1 the program reduced it to when saving it.

VCW VicMan's Photo Editor(http://www.vicman.net/vcwphoto/index.htm) is our rather old but effective photo editing software. It can be a real free alternative to Adobe Photoshop thanks to its power and functionality.

But now we don't support this software and advice you to check out our new free product - Photo! Editor (http://pho.to/editor/download.php). It differs from old editor: Photo! Editor more user-friendly interface, it has Vista support and additional tools like make-up tools.

If you want to enhance your photos with minimum effort then Photo! Editor is the best choise.
Fix red eye, crop, denoise, enhance color and much more.... With Photo! Editor everything you may need for image editing is right there at your fingertips!

the 1x1 bug has happened with all my saved work and i was enlarging. that's the newest version, so how do i fix this now? I love the tools and effects, but what good is it if it saves it 1x1?? please create a patch, or let me know where one is  available! thank you!

Re: bugs in Photo Editor 1.1

Hi, i love your product and cant believe its free!!!  Thanks so much.  The best feature for me is the manual color correction.  I use this alot to restore the color to old family photos i have scanned.  I have installed the program onto my desktop and it works great.  I have also installed it on both my laptops but i have found that on the laptops, when you move the slide bar on the manual color correction you dont see the changes happening to the photo?  On the desktop computer however, when you move the slide bars you can see how it is affecting the photo immediately.  Im not sure why this does not work on either laptop?  One of my laptops has a 512 mb video card and is more powerful than my desktop so it should be able to handle the photo editor...???  Do you have any suggestions?  Thx

Re: bugs in Photo Editor 1.1

I loved this editor from the get-go, until it began randomly destroying my pictures. When I try to overwrite original image, sometimes the editor bugs out and saves it as a 1x1 pixel image, which then makes it totally unviewable, UNEDITABLE; pretty much deleted. I came here to see if you had possibly addressed the issue, or even acknowledged it. All I see is a form reply, stating that you are not addressing it, and do not plan to.
So I guess I just have to accept that the lost data will stay lost, and look for another photo editor with better (or at least some) dev support.

I had the same problem before, then after a Windows XP update (I don't remember if it was an update to SP2 or SP3), the problem disappear. This is a Windows bug, not a Photo Editor bug...
